1/10 inch graph paper has 1/10 inch between adjacent grid lines — decimal-inch ruling, quad ruled 10×10.
Key facts
10 squares per inch divides each inch into ten, so every square is exactly 0.1 inch. Because it maps directly onto decimal measurements, it is the standard ruling for engineering and scientific work in imperial units.
Counts are for portrait orientation. The first column allows a 10 mm margin on all four edges — the practical figure, since most printers cannot print to the edge. The second is the theoretical maximum edge to edge.

1/10 inch is exactly 2.54 mm. The 0.1 inch square also matches the pin spacing of most through-hole electronic components, which is why breadboard layouts are drawn on it.

A 1/10 inch grid only measures 1/10 inch if the sheet prints at 100%. Choose Actual size rather than Fit to page, which typically scales to about 96% and would make every square 2.44 mm instead of 2.54 mm. To check, measure ten squares: they should span exactly 25.4 mm.
