Use this free printable graph paper generator to create log-log graph paper for power-law analysis and scientific plotting. Choose your preferred grid style and download a ready-to-print PDF in A4 or US Letter format.
Semantic hook
This log-log graph paper in 11x17 format is ideal for power-law analysis and scientific plotting. For example: A seismologist plots earthquake magnitude data on log-log graph paper, covering several orders of magnitude from minor tremors to major quakes on a single sheet.

FAQ
Log-log graph paper has logarithmic scales on both axes. It is used for analysing power-law relationships, plotting data that spans multiple orders of magnitude (e.g. earthquake magnitudes, frequency response, scientific data), and visualising scale-invariant phenomena.
Each axis has logarithmic spacing: equal distances represent equal multiplications, not equal additions. The first decade (1 to 10) is the same physical length as the second decade (10 to 100) and the third (100 to 1000). Powers of 10 align at fixed distances.
Power-law relationships (y = x^n) plot as straight lines on log-log paper. The slope of the line equals the exponent n. This makes log-log paper ideal for identifying and quantifying power laws in experimental data.
About
Log-log graph paper has logarithmic scales on both axes. It is used to visualise data that spans multiple orders of magnitude, such as power-law relationships, frequency distributions, and exponential functions. Each cycle on the scale represents a tenfold increase, making it possible to plot very large and very small values on the same sheet.
Log-log graph paper has logarithmic scales on both axes, so any power-law relationship of the form y = ax^b plots as a straight line whose slope equals the exponent b.
